Skill: Symantec Antivirus - Endpoint Protection

Location: Bangalore

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Symantec Endpoint Protection: In-depth knowledge of the SEP platform's architecture, features, and management console. 

• Cybersecurity Principles: Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including anti-malware, intrusion prevention, behavioral analysis, and data loss prevention (DLP). 

• Incident Response: Experience in handling security incidents, including analysis, investigation, and resolution of endpoint-related threats. 

• Networking & Systems: Familiarity with enterprise network infrastructure and various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) that SEP protects. 

• Financial Services Security: Awareness of the specific security challenges and regulatory requirements faced by the financial sector, including protecting against insider threats and sensitive data exposure. 

Key Responsibilities

• Deployment & Configuration: Implement and manage Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) software, including deploying policies to servers, desktops, and laptops across the network. 

• Security Patching & Updates: Oversee the deployment of security patches and updates for SEP, staying informed about new vulnerabilities to maintain a strong security posture. 

• Threat Monitoring & Response: Actively monitor for security events and malware threats, conduct investigations into security incidents, and implement effective corrective actions. 

• Policy Management: Develop, implement, and maintain endpoint security policies to prevent unauthorized access, malware infections, and data loss. 

• Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of SEP configurations, policies, and incident response procedures. Provide regular reports to management on the status of endpoint security. 

• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional IT and security teams to ensure seamless integration of SEP with the overall security framework and provide support on endpoint security best practices. 
• Security Architecture Contribution: Participate in the development and enhancement of the organization's security architecture, particularly concerning endpoint protection.
