Role Purpose

Core Skills and Experience

• Mandatory Skills: Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including BigQuery, DataProc, Pub/Sub, and Airflow; expertise in ETL processes, Big Data and Data Warehousing paradigms; advanced SQL skills; and experience with version control systems such as Git (including GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, SVN).
• A minimum of five years' hands-on experience in software development, specializing in Big Data analytics solutions and cloud-based data engineering projects.
• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of distributed multi-tiered systems, data modeling, and relational databases with a proven track record of designing scalable and efficient data pipelines.
• Experience building event-driven data processing pipelines using Kafka or GCP Pub/Sub to support real-time analytics and monitoring.
• Competency in object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and best practices ensuring maintainable and extensible codebases.
• Exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) practices, automated testing frameworks, and configuration management tools including Jenkins and XLR.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and active participation in scrum ceremonies to drive iterative delivery and collaboration.
• Certification in cloud platforms such as GCP Professional Data Engineer highly desirable.
