Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to define secure integration strategies, devise solution frameworks for enterprise systems, and identify infrastructure dependencies to enable efficient and compliant implementation.

The Datacenter Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing enterprise datacenter solutions spanning Compute, Virtualization, Storage, Backup. The role provides technical leadership for datacenter transformation initiatives, modernization programs, cloud adoption, infrastructure standardization, operational stability, and technology roadmaps.

The architect serves as the technical authority across Wintel, VMware, Storage, Backup environments while ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

  • Design enterprise-grade datacenter solutions covering compute, storage, backup, and cloud services.
  • Define infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
  • Create high-availability, scalable, and resilient architectural solutions.
  • Lead datacenter consolidation, modernization, and transformation initiatives.

Infrastructure Governance

  • Review and approve infrastructure designs and implementation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, and operational standards.
  • Govern infrastructure lifecycle management and technology refresh programs.

Operational Stability

  • Provide architectural oversight during Major Incidents (P1/P2).
  • Conduct technical reviews and provide RCA recommendations.
  • Identify infrastructure risks and implement preventive controls.
  • Ensure capacity planning, performance tuning, and resiliency improvements.
