Job Description
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to lead DevOps team to facilitate better coordination among operations, development and testing functions by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment processes

Good to have Skills:- Monitoring tool experience preferably Promethus & Grafana. CI/CD experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Problem Management, Root Cause Analysis, and Resolution:
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis to determine the underlying causes of issues.
- Develop and implement effective resolution plans to address identified problems.
- Engage in debugging processes to reproduce and verify issues before applying fixes.
- Utilize defect reporting mechanisms to document issues accurately for future reference
- DevOps Ecosystem Management:
- Support and manage the integration of various tools within our platform environment, ensuring seamless interoperability between commercial, open-source, and custom solutions.
- ServiceNow Proficiency:
- Utilize ServiceNow for ITSM processes effectively to streamline support operations. This includes ticket management, incident response and change management.
- Configuration Management:
- Leverage tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to maintain desired system configurations across the platform’s diverse environment.
- Automation and CI/CD Pipelines:
- Enhance efficiency by automating routine tasks and optimizing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Implement strategies to enhance reliability and speed of deployments.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (including development, operations, and client-facing groups) to align technical tasks with business objectives.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Proven track record of supporting integrated technology platforms.
- Experience with ServiceNow for ITSM processes.
- Familiarity with 24/7 operational support environments.
- Experience with operational support and management of one of more of the following tools is required; Kubernetes, Teleport Remote Access, ServiceNow, Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, or Loki.
- Experience managing and supporting Kubernetes clusters and mission critical workloads running on them.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of technical issues.
- Proficient in using debugging and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
- Ability to document and communicate findings effectively for stakeholder engagement.
- Strong understanding of configuration management systems (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Ansible preferred.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, Helm Charts and their proper use.
- Knowledgeable about monitoring tools and practices. Prometheus and Grafana experience preferred.
- Experience in leveraging CI/CD pipelines in an operational environment is beneficial.

- Provide customer support/ service on the DevOps tools
- Timely support internal & external customers escalations on multiple platforms
- Troubleshoot the various problems that arise in implementation of DevOps tools across the project/ module
- Perform root cause analysis of major incidents/ critical issues which may hamper project timeliness, quality or cost
- Develop alternate plans/ solutions to be implemented as per root cause analysis of critical problems
- Follow escalation matrix/ process as soon as a resolution gets complicated or isn’t resolved
- Provide knowledge transfer, sharing best practices with the team and motivate

- Incase of performance issues, take necessary action with zero tolerance for ‘will’ based performance issues
- Ensure that organizational programs like Performance Nxtarewell understood and that the team is taking the opportunities presented by such programs to their and their levels below
