Job Description: 

Devops Architect

 

  • Design and implement a comprehensive Azure DevOps strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of cloud-based infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth and secure software delivery.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and security.
  • Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Your responsibilities will also include gathering system and user requirements, building modules and testing features before release.  You must have hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining functional, secure and high-quality applications. To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • Solid foundation in cloud infrastructure with hands on experience in Compute, Network and Storage
  • Expertise in DevOps tools Azure DevOps and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience in system architecture and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Work on creating use case documents.
  • Prepare Knowledge repository for project(s)
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and domain areas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

3.Competency Building and Branding

  • Ensure completion of necessary trainings and certifications
  • Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs),case studies, demos etc. for new growth areas based on market and customer research 
  • Develop and present a point of view of Wipro on solution design and architect by writing white papers, blogs etc. 
  • Attain market referencability and recognition through highest analyst rankings, client testimonials and partner credits 
  • Be the voice of Wipro’s Thought Leadership by speaking in forums (internal and external) 
  • Mentor developers, designers and Junior architects in the project for their further career development and enhancement
  • Contribute to the architecture practice by conducting selection interviews etc
