Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to work with Application teams and developers to facilitate better coordination amongst operations, development and testing functions by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment processes

DevOps - JD (Everyday Banking)

  • Networking: Hands-on experience with a strong understanding of traffic flow.
  • TLS / PKI: Experience in certificate management and secure application communication.
  • Bash Scripting: Strong proficiency in Bash scripting.
  • Python: Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • GCP:
    • Experience with core GCP components.
    • Troubleshooting ingress/egress traffic, including Apigee and GCLB.
    • Understanding of firewall concepts and database connectivity.
    • Ability to trace logs across components.
  • GKE:
    • Proficiency with GKE and kubectl.
    • Live system troubleshooting.
    • Resolving complex application-side configuration issues, including ConfigMaps, Secrets, init containers, HPA, and PDB.
    • Experience with cluster and component upgrades.
  • HCV: Experience configuring secrets and certificates used by applications.
  • Kubernetes:
    • Hands-on experience with deployment manifests.
    • Safely applying configuration changes, including ConfigMaps, Secrets, and other resources, to running applications.
  • Terraform: Experience developing and using Terraform modules to apply changes in GCP.
  • GitHub:
    • Strong command-line Git experience.
    • Experience collaborating with developers.
    • Ability to make, revert, and understand code changes.
    • Familiarity with webhooks.
  • Jenkins / Azure DevOps: Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch, including scripting stages and steps.
  • Harness: Good understanding or hands-on experience.
  • Istio:
    • Experience configuring and troubleshooting CRDs.
    • Strong understanding of traffic flow.
    • Experience configuring TLS/mTLS within Istio.
  • Monitoring, Alerting & Logging: Hands-on experience with Dynatrace and accessing logs in GCP.
  • IDP: Understanding of core concepts.
  • Ansible: Ability to write and understand playbooks and scripts.
  • Linux: Strong command-line experience.
  • SDLC: Experience collaborating closely with development teams, building applications from scratch, and supporting troubleshooting.
  • Java: Experience building Spring Boot or Quarkus applications; familiarity with Gradle.
  • Node.js: Familiarity with ReactJS applications and hands-on collaboration with development teams.
  • Testing & Security Tools: Experience working with the following tools within CI/CD pipelines:
    • Cucumber BDD
    • ZAP
    • Gatling
    • LoadRunner
    • RestAssured
    • Burp Suite
    • SonarQube
    • Aqua Sec
    • Nexus IQ
    • Axe
    • Playwright

Do

  • Align and focus on continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) of technology in applications 
    • Plan and Execute the DevOps pipeline that supports the application life cycle across the DevOps toolchain from planning, coding and building, testing, staging, release, configuration and monitoring
    • Manage the IT infrastructure as per the requirement of the supported software code
    • On-board an application on the DevOps tool and configure it as per the clients need
    • Create user access workflows and provide user access as per the defined process
    • Build and engineer the DevOps tool as per the customization suggested by the client 
    • Collaborate with development staff to tackle the coding and scripting needed to connect elements of the code that are required to run the software release with operating systems and production infrastructure
    • Leverage and use tools to automate testing & deployment in a Dev-Ops environment
  • Provide customer support/ service on the DevOps tools 
    • Timely support internal & external customers on multiple platforms
    • Resolution of the tickets raised on these tools to be addressed & resolved within a specified TAT
    • Ensure adequate resolution with customer satisfaction
    • Follow escalation matrix/ process as soon as a resolution gets complicated or isn t resolved
    • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of critical/ repeatable issues
