Job Description
Lead cross functional teams, responsible for all accounting-related activities and assist with the preparation & overseeing financial reports in line with applicable accounting standards & regulatory framework. Ensure sufficient controls & risk mitigation in relation to payroll, vendor payment, customer collection, asset & inventory management. Development of understanding of complex transaction by linking them to applicable IFRS/IAS and Influence senior leaders in setting direction through insightful variance analysis to achieve corporate goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for accounting operations including preparation of periodic financial statements/ reports/disclosures.
- Ensure the books comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Ensure timely closure of all audits, internal or external and timely filing of all statutory reports.
- Responsible for assessing the risk and control environment across processes at regular intervals and ensure comprehensive set of controls are in place to mitigate risk.
- Works closely with other functions including payroll, operation & asset management, vendor management & payment, taxation, treasury etc. to ensure smooth operations, manage cash flow, and ensure timely payments to employees / vendors.
- Working with cross functional teams and ensure the monthly closure activities and accurate reporting within
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and managing large operations teams
- Financial stewardship by managing risks and owning processes.
- Excellent personal communication and organizational skills.
- Act as financial strategist through decision making skills and translation of strategic priorities into operational reality.
- Act as financial Catalyst by putting right processes in place, process compliance and automation. Demonstrates strategic thinking and readiness to mentor/groom teammates
Qualifications:
A Chartered Accountant or equivalent education with 3-6 years of previous experience in similar role
