Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Administrator with strong expertise in on-premise Kubernetes environments and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). The ideal candidate will manage and automate deployment pipelines, container platforms, and data streaming environments while ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across hybrid infrastructure. Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Kafka, and Hadoop is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Kubernetes & Containerization
• Manage and maintain on-prem Kubernetes clusters (high availability, networking, storage, upgrades, and troubleshooting).
• Administer and operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including node pools, scaling, and workload management.
• Design and deploy workloads on Azure Container Apps using CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate Azure Container Registry (ACR) for image builds, scanning, and lifecycle management.
• Implement security, monitoring, and logging using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Azure Monitor.
• Optimize resource usage, networking (CNI/Calico), and storage (CSI, PersistentVolumes).
Infrastructure Automation (IaC)
• Design and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform for both on-prem and Azure resources.
• Automate system configurations, deployments, and patching using Ansible playbooks and roles.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to standardize and version-control infrastructure configurations.
Data & Streaming Platforms
• Administer and monitor Apache Kafka clusters — including topics, partitions, consumers, and retention policies.
• Manage Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and streaming pipelines for real-time data processing.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate Kafka producers and consumers into microservices.
• Maintain Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark) for large-scale data storage and analytics.
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
• Build, test, and deploy container images using Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
• Implement continuous deployment workflows targeting Kubernetes clusters (Helm, Kustomize, etc.).
• Manage secrets and credentials securely using Azure Key Vault, Kubernetes Secrets, or Vault.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 4–8 years of experience in Kubernetes administration (both on-prem and cloud-based).
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure AKS, ACR, and Azure Container Apps.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
• Working knowledge of Kafka architecture (brokers, zookeeper, producers/consumers).
• Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem and data pipeline integrations.
• Experience with Helm charts, Docker, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), and container runtime management.
• Excellent understanding of networking, storage, and security in Kubernetes environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with Kubernetes, containers, and distribution system.
