Job Description

We are looking for an experienced JDE WorldSoft Techno‑Functional Consultant with strong hands‑on expertise in JD Edwards World (WorldSoft) on AS/400. The role requires a balanced mix of technical development and functional understanding, with the ability to work closely with business users, support teams, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a Techno‑Functional consultant on JD Edwards World (WorldSoft) applications
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical and functional solutions
  • Design, develop, customize, and support RPG / RPGLE / ILE / CL programs
  • Handle FDA, RDA, Data Dictionary, UDCs, World Writer, Dream Writer and report customization
  • Provide functional support across Distribution, Inventory, Sales, Procurement, Finance modules
  • Perform production support, issue analysis, root cause analysis, and fixes
  • Participate in enhancements, upgrades, testing, documentation, and deployments
  • Collaborate with business users for requirement gathering and solution walkthroughs
  • Ensure system performance, stability, and compliance with development standards

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in JD Edwards World (WorldSoft)
  • Hands‑on expertise in AS/400 / IBM i environment
  • Proficient in RPG, RPGLE, ILE, CL programming
  • Good understanding of DB2, file structures, and job processing
  • Experience with security, menu design, user profiles, vocabulary overrides
  • Exposure to batch jobs, interfaces, and system integrations

Functional Skills

  • Solid functional knowledge of JDE World modules (Distribution, Inventory, Finance, Sales, Manufacturing – as applicable)
  • Strong experience in requirement analysis, functional specs, and user interaction
  • Ability to bridge gaps between business users and technical teams

2. Skill upgradation and competency building

  • Clear wipro exams and internal certifications from time to time to upgrade the skills
  • Attend trainings, seminars to sharpen the knowledge in functional/ technical domain
  • Write papers, articles, case studies and publish them on the intranet
