Skill: Senior SQL/PLSQL & Java Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Developer with strong expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and Java, complemented by hands-on experience in Splunk, New Relic, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade applications and data solutions, while also contributing to observability and performance monitoring initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop robust backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

Write and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

Implement and maintain monitoring dashboards using Splunk and New Relic for application performance and infrastructure health.

Analyze telemetry data to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.

Contribute to data analytics initiatives, including data modeling, ETL pipelines, and reporting.

Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).

Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in software engineering and database development.

Required Skills & Experience:

6+ years of experience in Java development (Spring Boot, REST APIs).

5+ years of experience in SQL and PL/SQL development (Oracle, PostgreSQL).

Strong understanding of Splunk and New Relic for observability and performance monitoring.

Experience with data analytics, including data modeling, ETL, and visualization tools.

Familiarity with Unix/Linux, Git, Jenkins, and Agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).

Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.

Certifications in Oracle, Java, or observability tools (Splunk, New Relic) are a plus.
