Position Overview
The Zurich team is seeking a skilled Associate or Consultant to support and eventually take ownership of the highly customized Jira XEMA screen (Issue screen Epic) and workflow. The successful candidate will work alongside the internal staff member who developed the current customization, serving as both a backup and, over time, the primary responsible party for maintaining and enhancing the XEMA solution.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the internal Jira developer to understand the existing XEMA customization and workflows.
- Take ownership of the XEMA screen, ensuring optimal performance and user experience for business users.
- Administer and update custom fields, backend list of values, and workflows as business requirements evolve.
- Optimize the issue creation process to reduce time and improve efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance the XEMA screen, including scripting and automation using Script Runner and Groovy.
- Manage user permissions, ensuring only authorized team members can create or modify the XEMA screen.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for business users and senior stakeholders.
- Document processes, changes, and provide knowledge transfer as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- In-depth experience with Jira administration and workflow customization.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Script Runner and Groovy scripting for Jira.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative after knowledge transfer is completed.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when dealing with senior stakeholders and business users.
- Experience with managing user permissions in Jira.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on user experience and process optimization.
- Ability to work in the Central European Timezone (CET).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting or administering custom Jira screens and Kanban board workflows.
- Familiarity with business process requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Experience working in an international, cross-functional team environment.
Work Location and Schedule
This role requires working during Central European Time zone hours and collaborating closely with both internal staff and business stakeholders.
