Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to resolve high-priority incidents through advanced troubleshooting, ensure SLA compliance, analyse system performance trends, and create mitigation measures by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Areas of responsibility

Triaging and resolution of tickets-Provide resolution to high priority incident (P2) tickets, performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure timely closure.

SLA Monitoring-Ensure SLA compliance for assigned technology areas and ensure proactive escalation management.

Performance tuning and optimization-Analyse system performance data, coordinate findings on system behaviour, and support capacity planning initiatives to enhance overall system efficiency.

Perform system Improvements-Create mitigation measures to evaluate new tools or improvements by collaborating with technical teams.

Handling disaster recovery-Perform security assessments and recovery drills, and implement necessary controls to ensure compliance with established security standards.

Reporting and stakeholder engagement-Participate in weekly and monthly service review meetings, provide updates on performance and issues, and support stakeholder communication to ensure transparency and service alignment.

Team Management-Collaborate with team members to resolve open tickets and service requests.

Knowledge base and continuous learning Contribute to updating SOPs, knowledge articles and maintaining the knowledge repository for the purpose of future ticket resolution.

SCCM Patch Management Specialist

Job Description

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in large enterprise environments (>7,000 endpoints).
  • Experience handling patch compliance improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to identify and remediate devices failing due to SCCM client, deployment configuration, VPN, firewall, network, or infrastructure issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Windows patch management using Microsoft SCCM/MECM.
  • Investigate and resolve patch compliance gaps across Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
  • Troubleshoot SCCM client health, client registration, policy retrieval, software update scan failures, and deployment issues.
  • Analyze patching discrepancies between SCCM, CrowdStrike, and OS build compliance reports.
  • Develop and execute remediation plans for non-compliant devices.
  • Perform SCCM client repair, reinstallation, and automation-based remediation.
  • Review and optimize Software Update Point (SUP), Boundary Groups, Distribution Points, CMG, and deployment configurations.
  • Validate deployment settings, maintenance windows, restart behaviors, and compliance evaluation processes.
  • Create PowerShell automation scripts for patch remediation and client health recovery.
  • Generate compliance dashboards and reporting using SCCM SQL queries, SSRS, and Power BI.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for VPN, firewall, network, CMG, and device connectivity-related patch failures.
  • Work with Security teams to reduce endpoint vulnerabilities and improve compliance posture.
  • Support out-of-band patch deployments and critical security updates.
  • Produce executive-level reports highlighting patching trends, risks, and remediation progress.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and documentation of solutions implemented.
