Skillsets:
LAN/WAN , SD-WAN , Aruba ClearPass
- Cisco CCIE Routing and Switching certification level
- Cisco CCIE Wireless / Aruba Expert Level (ACMX, ACDX, ACCX) certification is desirable
- Must have in depth knowledge of Aruba WLAN, Aruba ClearPass, Aruba Central
- Must have in depth knowledge of Cisco LAN, WAN, SD-WAN CISCO Viptela
- Must have in depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, carrier WAN and Internet offerings, cloud network services.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco LAN switching technologies including STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLANs, EtherChannel and switch stacking; proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, implementing QoS, and managing network segmentation and redundancy.
- In depth knowledge of WiFi network infrastructure, WLAN authentication and understanding of software defined networking.
Scope:
National Grid (NG) requires a Network Engineering Staff Augmentation solution to support its transition toward insourced network operations. The objective is to secure skilled Level 3/4 network engineers who can operate as an extension of the NG team, providing 24/7 coverage for incident resolution, root cause analysis and tickets/requests resolution.
- Support of network infrastructure including incident resolution, problem and root cause analysis and change execution
- Resolve incidents based on ticket queues as informed by NG
- Provide L3 level support for network incidents.
- in-depth analysis intermediate (technical) troubleshooting, configuration management, and coordination
- Complex and critical troubleshooting,
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Assist in network performance and capacity challenges
- Coordinate with Onsite Field/dispatch team for break fix and hardware refreshes.
- Support in developing the design for new requirements
- Assist in application troubleshooting with regard to network layer fault isolation and diagnosis.
Collaborate with the OEM vendor on critical and complex Incidents.

Do
- Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup)
- Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution
- Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements
- Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable
- Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower
- Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues.
- Plan for and manage upgradations, migration, maintenance, backup, installation and configuration functions for own tower
- Review the technical performance of own tower and deploy ways to improve efficiency, fine tune performance and reduce performance challenges
- Develop shift roster for the team to ensure no disruption in the tower
- Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance etc.
- Provide weekly status reports to the client leadership team, internal stakeholders on database activities w.r.t. progress, updates, status, and next steps
- Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for higher efficiency and effectiveness
