Key Responsibilities:Redhat Open stack Platform (Open stack + Linux)· Red Hat OpenStack (RHOS) Administrationo Deployment, Scaling & Lifecycle Management§ Install and upgrade RHOS environments (director and overcloud nodes)§ Perform scaling operations for compute, storage, and controller nodes§ Manage lifecycle activities: node replacement, patching, and health checkso Core OpenStack Services Administration§ Compute: provisioning and management of virtual machines§ Networking: advanced SDN, VLAN, VXLAN, and router configuration§ Storage: block and object storage provisioning, volume management§ Identity: user, tenant, and role-based access configuration§ Dashboard: manage resources, quotas, and projects through GUIo Integrated Hypervisor and Host Management§ Configure and optimize KVM hosts for compute nodes§ Integration with external virtualization management toolso Network & SDN Operations§ Virtual network setup (provider/tenant networks, segmentation, floating IPs)§ Configure advanced SDN functions, security groups, and load balancerso Automation and Orchestration§ Use Heat orchestration templates for cloud resource automation§ Workflow automation with Mistral§ Leverage Ansible for deployment, configuration management, and patchingo Security and Multi-Tenant Isolation§ Implement RBAC policies for secure multi-tenancy§ Identity federation and multi-factor authentication setup§ Apply OpenStack and Linux system hardening according to CIS/NIST benchmarkso Monitoring, Logging & Alerting§ Configure Ceilometer and/or third-party tools for monitoring and metering§ Log aggregation and analysis for troubleshooting and compliance§ Set up health checks and automated alerting for infrastructure and workloadso Storage & Backup Management§ Integrate and manage enterprise storage backends (iSCSI, FC, NFS)§ Backup and disaster recovery for OpenStack-managed workloadso Upgrade, Troubleshooting & Support§ Plan and execute rolling upgrades with zero/minimal downtime§ Advanced troubleshooting across OpenStack services (logs, service status, diagnostics)§ Root cause analysis and escalation to vendor support as neededo Governance & Compliance

Do
- Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup)
- Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution
- Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements
- Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable
- Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower
- Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues.
- Plan for and manage upgradations, migration, maintenance, backup, installation and configuration functions for own tower
- Review the technical performance of own tower and deploy ways to improve efficiency, fine tune performance and reduce performance challenges
- Develop shift roster for the team to ensure no disruption in the tower
- Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance etc.
- Provide weekly status reports to the client leadership team, internal stakeholders on database activities w.r.t. progress, updates, status, and next steps
- Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for higher efficiency and effectiveness
