Kubernetes Tech Lead (L3) – B3 - Offshore
Role & Responsibilities · Lead the migration of applications from EC2 to EKS, improving scalability and container orchestration. · · Execute application version upgrades and deployments on EC2 servers. · · Implement and manage EKS code deployments using Bitbucket and Argo CD to maintain automated and reliable CI/CD pipelines. · · Automate EKS version upgrades through CI/CD pipelines leveraging Bitbucket and Argo CD. · · Deploy Kubernetes workloads using custom YAML manifests, managing Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and Secrets. · · Provide infrastructure support for existing application landscapes. · · Ensure application version consistency across multiple environments. · · Work on monthly audits and keep the documentation up-to-date. · · Maintain resource inventory documentation using Confluence. · · Utilize ServiceNow and Jira to raise and track requests with cross-functional teams. · · Ensure auditing and asset control compliance for customer environments.
Mandatory and Desired skills Mandatory: Kubernetes, EKS, Argo / Jenkins, Bitbucket Desired: AWS Cloud, DevOps, scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
Experience · In depth experience installing, configuring, and administering Cloud Kubernetes distributions · Experience with Docker containers, experience with other containerization technology is an asset · Solid understanding of both general and Kubernetes networking/firewall concepts and their role with regards to Kubernetes infrastructure and application delivery · Prepare weekly and monthly reports and present to customer, work on productivity gains, prepare plan to transition the technologies in AWS Cloud and kubernetes environment. · Adaptability to work with multiple teams on projects with varying degrees of flexibility/rigidity at different points in the development cycle
· Previous experience working in an environment with formally structured IT Operational processes: work request ticket management, incident management, change management, and problem management · Should have experience in designing architecture, High-Level Design and Low-Level Design documentation for multi-cluster kubernetes platform deployments. · Incident Response and SLA Management · Should have had hands-on experience in installation and deployment of kubernetes Container Platform. · Should have working knowledge of DevOps tools like GIT, Jenkins, Terraform etc.. · Should have proficiency in AWS services (EKS, IAM, VPC, EC2, CloudWatch). · Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Multi-Tenancy Configuration · Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, CloudFormation), AWS Networking and Load Balancing (Load Balancers, VPNs, Security Groups)

Do
- Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup)
- Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution
- Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements
- Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable
- Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower
- Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues.
- Plan for and manage upgradations, migration, maintenance, backup, installation and configuration functions for own tower
- Review the technical performance of own tower and deploy ways to improve efficiency, fine tune performance and reduce performance challenges
- Develop shift roster for the team to ensure no disruption in the tower
- Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance etc.
- Provide weekly status reports to the client leadership team, internal stakeholders on database activities w.r.t. progress, updates, status, and next steps
- Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for higher efficiency and effectiveness
