Role Purpose and Overview
This position is pivotal within Wipro Technologies' TS - Industry Cloud & Digital division, focusing on Mainframe Support at Level 2. The successful candidate will leverage deep expertise in Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS to provide robust production support, ensuring optimal system performance and service availability.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing legacy mainframe applications, proactively monitoring and resolving system issues, and working closely with cross-functional teams to align technical implementations with business goals. The role demands a high level of autonomy, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to operate independently across night and day shifts.
Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes, utilizing tools such as CA7 and ServiceNow to streamline operations and incident management. Your expertise will support the sustained excellence and reliability of mission-critical systems, making a direct impact on customer satisfaction and operational success.
Shift Requirements: Candidates should be prepared to work rotating shifts, including night shifts, to support production environments effectively.
