Role Purpose


The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations

Mandatory Technical Skills & Experience

  1. Expert-level hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 9K/7K/5K series in multi-VDC, vPC, VXLAN-EVPN, and OTV environments.
  2. Strong routing/switching expertise on Cisco ISR 4K and ASR 1K/9K platforms with complex Multi-VRF, MPLS, and BGP/EIGRP/OSPF designs.
  3. Proven experience supporting medical devices, IoT/OT environments, or other specialized endpoints (segmentation, QoS, security considerations).
  4. Vulnerability management lifecycle and firmware/code upgrade planning across large Cisco estates.
  5. Advanced Quality of Service (QoS) design and troubleshooting – policy-maps, class-maps, marking, policing, shaping, HQoS.
  6. End-to-end site and data center migration projects (L2/L3, DC interconnects, cabling standards, downtime minimization).
  7. Bandwidth capacity planning, traffic analysis, and recommendation of upgrades or optimization techniques.
  8. Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion, ThousandEyes, Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), Prime Infrastructure, and other NMS platforms.
  9. Cisco Wireless LAN expertise – WLC (AireOS & Catalyst 9800), Access Points configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  10. Solid working knowledge of Cisco DNA Center (assurance, automation, SDA fundamentals).
  11. Cisco ACI (APIC, Multi-Pod/Multi-Site) and Nexus 9K in both NX-OS and ACI mode; exposure to other multilayer director-class switches.
  12. Large-scale network migration experience (campus, branch, data center, cloud on-ramp).
  13. Coordination with ISP/MPLS/SD-WAN providers for circuit turn-up, BGP peering, and performance issues.
  14. Basic working knowledge of IP Telephony (CUCM, voice gateways, QoS for voice/video).
  15. Hands-on SD-WAN experience, especially Cisco Meraki MX (AutoVPN, traffic shaping, security policies) and preferably Viptela/Catalyst SD-WAN.
  16. Expert in creating customer-facing High-Level Designs (HLD) and detailed Low-Level Designs (LLD) with diagrams, BoM, IP plans, and migration runbooks.
  17. Data center operations exposure – structured cabling standards, rack/stack, power, and physical layer troubleshooting.
