Key Responsibilities :
1. Network Design & Architecture
- Design LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center network architectures.
- Develop IP addressing schemes, VLAN design, routing strategies, and segmentation plans.
- Create high‑level (HLD) and low‑level (LLD) network design documents.
- Plan capacity, scalability, redundancy, and resilience enhancements.
- Plan deployments for Cisco Catalyst, Meraki MX/MS/MR, and cloud-managed environments.
2. Network Planning & Implementation
- Perform site surveys, RF planning, and coverage analysis for wireless deployments.
- Plan MPLS/SD-WAN circuits, bandwidth, QoS, and routing policies.
- Prepare Bill of Material (BoM), hardware sizing, and licensing requirements.
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for connectivity, installation, and upgrades.
- Lead network migration projects with minimal downtime (e.g., core switch refresh, WAN cutovers).
3. Performance & Optimization
- Analyze network performance, traffic patterns, and utilization trends.
- Recommend optimization strategies for routing, switching, and wireless coverage.
- Conduct capacity forecasting and recommend scaling solutions.
4. Security & Compliance
- Implement NAC/802.1X, segmentation, and firewall policies (Cisco ISE, Check Point, Palo Alto, Meraki).
- Ensure network compliance with security standards and corporate security requirements.
- Integrate cloud security platforms (Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Umbrella, etc.).
5. Documentation & Standards
- Prepare LLDs, configuration documents, runbooks, network diagrams, and SOPs.
- Maintain network inventory, topology maps, and maintenance schedules.
6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work with application teams, security teams, ISP partners, and project managers.
- Support change management and participate in CAB reviews.
- Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
7. Troubleshooting & Support
- Provide escalation support for complex network issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for network failures.
- Validate network after changes using monitoring tools and telemetry.
Experience & Certifications
- Experience: 7-8 years in IT Security, with a minimum of 4 years focused specifically on project-based implementation or deployments.
- Top Certifications (Preferred):
- CCNA
- CCNP
- Critical Thinking: Ability to anticipate how a new security implementation might impact existing network traffic.
- Ownership: Capability to manage a deployment project from the "Initial Setup" phase to the "Operational Handover."
Detail-Oriented: Precision in documenting rule changes and configuration backups.
