Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Retail Merchandising Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Retail applications and retail business processes. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of functional domain knowledge and technical capabilities to support implementation, enhancement, integration, and production support initiatives within Oracle Retail environments. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, solution architects, development teams, and support teams to deliver scalable and high-quality retail solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Functional Expertise - Strong experience in Oracle Retail Merchandising Suite, including: RMS (Retail Merchandising System) RPM (Retail Price Management) REIM (Retail Invoice Matching) SIM (Store Inventory Management) Retail Foundation Data Merchandise Hierarchy Management Item, Supplier and Inventory Management Retail Pricing and Promotions Purchase Order and Replenishment Concepts

Technical Expertise - SQL and PL/SQL Shell Scripting (Preferred) UNIX/Linux Environment XML and Data Integration Concepts Oracle Retail Batch Processing Web Services/API Integrations Interface Design and Troubleshooting Data Migration and Conversion Activities Domain Knowledge Retail Merchandising Inventory Management Pricing & Promotions Supply Chain Operations Procurement Processes Retail Store Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse, design, configure, and support Oracle Retail Merchandising solutions.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Configure and support Oracle Retail Merchandising modules based on business needs.
  • Drive solution design discussions and provide recommendations aligned with retail best practices.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for customisations, integrations, data conversions, and reporting requirements.
  • Support end-to-end implementation, upgrade, enhancement, and AMS engagements.
  • Conduct functional testing, SIT, UAT support, defect management, and production deployment activities.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues while ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Prepare functional design documents, solution architecture artefacts, test scenarios, and training materials.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, inventory, finance, store operations, and merchandisingstakeholders.
  • Provide user training, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live support.

Desired Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Oracle Retail experience with at least 5 years in Oracle Retail Merchandising engagements.
  • Experience in implementation, rollout, upgrade, or AMS projects.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently handle requirement discussions and solution workshops.
  • Experience working in global delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills - Experience with Oracle Retail Integration components. Exposure to Oracle Retail Cloud Services. Knowledge of Retail Analytics and Reporting. Experience in Agile project delivery. Oracle Retail certifications will be an added advantage.
