Job Description

Role Purpose
Lead and scale the Financial Risk and Regulatory Reporting practice. The role combines deep practitioner credibility, strategic practice building, market enablement, account ownership and selective client delivery. The successful candidate will strengthen capabilities across credit risk, counterparty credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, interest rate risk and risk/regulatory reporting, while creating a commercially sustainable pipeline and measurable client impact.

Role Boundary
This role is intentionally focused on financial risk and regulatory reporting. Financial crime compliance, AML and fraud experience may be useful as adjacent exposure, but it is not the primary selection criterion for this position.

͏

Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership and Capability Building
•Define and execute the practice strategy, portfolio, operating model and annual growth priorities for Financial Risk and Regulatory Reporting.
•Build differentiated offerings, accelerators, reference architectures, methods, reusable assets and practitioner communities across financial risk domains.
•Develop a strong talent pyramid through hiring, mentoring, certification pathways, succession planning and deployment across priority accounts.
•Create alliances and capability plans around risk platforms, regulatory reporting products, data, analytics and quantitative risk solutions.

Market and Account Growth
•Partner with market, sector, account and sales leaders to identify whitespace in banks and financial institutions where financial risk capabilities are underpenetrated.
•Own selected strategic accounts and shape opportunities from diagnostic and advisory work through transformation, implementation and managed services.
•Lead client conversations, workshops, proposals, solutioning, estimations and oral presentations; convert domain insight into qualified pipeline and revenue.
•Build executive relationships with CRO, CFO, Chief Credit Officer, Treasurer, Head of Market Risk, Head of Regulatory Reporting and Risk Technology leaders.
•Support growth in priority global banking accounts, including institutions with complex credit, market, treasury and regulatory reporting agendas.

Client Delivery and Billability
•Maintain partial billability through advisory, programme leadership, solution assurance, risk transformation or regulatory reporting engagements.
•Provide senior oversight for scope, outcomes, quality, architecture, risk models, controls, data lineage, testing, governance and regulatory readiness.
•Act as the senior practitioner for complex pursuits and programmes, resolving domain issues and protecting delivery credibility.
•Ensure repeatable delivery economics, strong client references and conversion of engagements into follow-on work.

͏

Core Domain Expertise
•Credit risk management: origination, underwriting, rating/scoring, limit management, portfolio monitoring, early warning, collections interfaces, IFRS 9 / CECL, expected credit loss and stress testing.
•Counterparty credit risk: exposure measurement, PFE, netting/collateral, limits, XVA awareness, SA-CCR and concentration management.
•Market risk: VaR/expected shortfall, sensitivities, stress testing, FRTB awareness, limits, model governance and market risk reporting.
•Liquidity and treasury risk: liquidity risk measurement, LCR/NSFR awareness, stress testing, funds transfer pricing interfaces and contingency funding.
•Interest rate risk in the banking book: NII/EVE measures, behavioural assumptions, scenario analysis and ALM reporting.
•Risk and regulatory reporting: data sourcing, aggregation, lineage, controls, reconciliations, submissions, attestation and remediation across multi-jurisdictional banking environments.
•Risk data and quantitative analysis: portfolio analytics, model inputs/outputs, data quality, BCBS 239 principles and model risk governance interfaces.

Platforms and Technology Exposure
•Hands-on or programme-level exposure to platforms such as AxiomSL, Moody's Analytics and comparable credit risk, market risk, ALM, risk data or regulatory reporting solutions.
•Understanding of risk data architectures, data lakes/warehouses, finance-risk data integration, APIs, cloud modernisation and analytics platforms.
•Ability to work with quantitative teams and interpret risk measures, models, assumptions and outputs without being limited to a purely functional coordination role.
•Experience leading platform selection, implementation, migration, remediation or managed-service transformation is highly desirable.

Experience and Qualifications
•18-20 years of relevant experience in banking, consulting, risk advisory, risk technology or regulatory reporting, with significant leadership responsibility.
•Demonstrable track record of leading and growing a financial risk practice, capability, portfolio or major risk transformation programme.
•Strong practitioner depth in at least two of the following: credit risk, counterparty credit risk, market risk, liquidity/ALM, interest rate risk or risk/regulatory reporting.
•Experience working with global banks and senior client stakeholders; evidence of shaping and winning complex consulting or transformation opportunities.
•Proven ability to balance practice leadership, commercial ownership and selective client billability.
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, business or a related field.
•Relevant professional credentials such as FRM, CFA, PRM, CQF or equivalent are desirable.
