Role Purpose
The PlanLogic EOS Consultant will support the design, development, configuration, and optimisation of PlanLogic EOS solutions to enable efficient energy scheduling, optimisation, and operational planning. The role will work closely with trading, scheduling, and operations stakeholders and integrate PlanLogic EOS within the broader ETRM landscape, ensuring stable EOD/intraday processing, accurate results, and scalable performance.
This role requires strong analytical skills, hands‑on technical experience, and the ability to work effectively within Agile delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and enhance solutions on the PlanLogic EOS platform to support energy optimisation and scheduling use cases.
- Develop and maintain EOS models, configurations, and extensions to meet business and operational requirements.
- Support EOD, intraday, and near‑real‑time optimisation runs, ensuring performance and result accuracy.
- Integrate PlanLogic EOS with ETRM systems, market data sources, and downstream applications.
- Collaborate closely with trading, scheduling, operations, and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to solution design, build, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Support creation and maintenance of unit tests, regression tests, and operational runbooks.
- Analyze and resolve functional and technical issues, including performance tuning and optimisation.
- Provide regular status updates and actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Support production environments as part of Run and Change initiatives when required.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on experience working with PlanLogic EOS or similar energy optimisation and scheduling platforms.
- Strong understanding of:
- Energy scheduling and optimisation concepts
- Constraints‑based optimisation
- EOD and intraday operational workflows
- Experience working within ETRM landscapes, supporting Front, Middle, or Back Office processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
ETRM & Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of energy and commodities markets, particularly:
- Power
- Gas
- Emissions (preferred)
- Knowledge of:
- Scheduling and dispatch processes
- Market data and price curves
- Position management and optimisation outputs
- Exposure to regulatory or operational reporting is an advantage.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in cloud‑hosted environments (AWS preferred).
- Performance tuning experience for large optimisation runs.
- Experience working in integrated ETRM ecosystems (e.g. trading, risk, scheduling, settlement systems).
- Exposure to AMS / 24x5 or 24x7 support models.
- Experience in migration, upgrade, or platform modernisation programmes.
