Job Title: Principal Consultant – Finance Transformation, Process Excellence

Location: India Consulting Hub (Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and Gurgaon)

Reports To: Practice Lead / Partner

Role Overview

The India Consulting Hub is part of Wipro Consulting, supporting consulting services and enhancing functional capabilities across global markets and industries. This position is within the Finance Transformation Consulting function, which aligns finance requirements with technical solutions by applying relevant technologies.

As a senior consultant in Finance Transformation, the role involves leading complex consulting projects in areas such as Operating Model & Organization, Process Excellence, Digital Finance, Performance Management, Controls & Compliance, and Treasury & Capital. Responsibilities include delivering client solutions, managing project teams, developing client relationships, and participating in practice development.

Key responsibilities include overseeing finance process transformation initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, standardization, and automation. The consultant will conduct process assessments, redesign, and implementation for core finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, design, and optimize finance processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report).
  • Lead process mapping, gap analysis, and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Implement process automation and digital solutions (e.g., RPA, workflow tools).
  • Develop process documentation, controls, and KPIs.
  • Deliver process improvement projects, track measurable outcomes, and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Coach teams in Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
  • Oversee full delivery of finance transformation projects, ensuring quality standards and client requirements are met.
  • Advise CFOs and finance leaders on finance function improvements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: CA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA MBA (Finance), or advanced Finance degree from an accredited institution.

Experience: At least 12 years in finance transformation and consulting, with experience leading large-scale projects for global clients.

  • Expertise in at least one core area; working knowledge of others.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex engagements.
  • Knowledge of finance processes, systems (SAP, SAP GRC, MS Dynamics Oracle, Workday), and digital tools.
  • Background in business development, proposals, and client management.
Mandatory Skills: Finance Transformation .

 

Experience: 8-10 Years .
