Job Description: 

QA Engineer- Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).

Position Overview – QA Engineer specializing in Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript

Exp :- 5+yrs

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript and JavaScript, employing best practices like the Page Object Model to ensure maintainability and scalability.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive test suites encompassing functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing for both web applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Creating reusable and modular test automation scripts that facilitate efficient continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Formulating clear and detailed manual test cases to supplement automation efforts and support thorough validation where automation is not feasible.
  • Collaborating closely with product owners, developers, platform managers, and stakeholders to establish clear acceptance criteria and align testing efforts with business goals.
  • Conducting meticulous root-cause analysis for identified defects and partnering with development teams for swift resolution and debugging assistance.
  • Engaging in continuous process improvements, knowledge sharing, and mentoring colleagues to elevate the overall maturity of QA practices within the organization.
  • Utilizing tools such as Postman for API testing and integrating results into comprehensive reporting platforms including Allure and HTML reports.

Technical Competencies and Skills:

  • Proven mastery of Playwright automation framework, alongside solid hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and developing automation frameworks in TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Strong capability in API testing including RESTful services, with proficiency in JSON and XML validation, API test automation framework development, and use of tools like Postman.
  • Expertise in applying testing methodologies such as Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber or analogous frameworks to improve collaboration and clarity of test scenarios.
  • Experience working within Agile Scrum teams, actively contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to enhance product quality and delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of overall experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years dedicated to automation testing using Playwright.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead testing efforts, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver quality solutions in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex testing issues and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
  • Preferred certifications in Playwright or relevant testing frameworks as well as experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and container technologies such as Docker.

Areas of responsibility

Requirement Analysis and Documentation-Create technical requirement documents basis the inputs received from clients through discussions and demos.

Creation of test cases-Create test cases basis the functional requirements ensuring test coverage across multiple modules.

Test Data and Environment Setup-Create data validation scenarios and set up test environment in collaboration with the client stakeholder.

Test Execution and Result Analysis -"Execute functional and regression testing to identify defects and document the result of the test cases.

Prepare test evidence and test review documents.

Log and update the defect status in the test management tool."
