We are seeking a highly skilled SAP MDG Consultant to join our Technology Services team at Wipro Technologies. In this critical role, you will be responsible for executing customizations, configuring multiple SAP modules, and actively supporting the implementation of business processes to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our SAP Master Data Governance system.

The ideal candidate will bring comprehensive expertise in SAP ABAP development and possess a strong understanding of SAP MDG to design, develop, and enhance solutions tailored to business needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and end-users, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, design, and development of custom SAP MDG solutions including Data Models, UI Enhancements, and Process Models to meet evolving business requirements.
• Develop and enhance SAP IDOC interfaces, including custom developments and troubleshooting, ensuring reliable and efficient data exchange between systems.
• Translate functional specifications into technical designs, perform ABAP coding, unit testing, and deliver quality documentation following organizational standards.
• Design and implement ABAP programs covering reporting, dialogues, forms, and workflows with an emphasis on scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, functional, and technical issues promptly, collaborating with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide ongoing integration support and daily assistance to business users, fostering a deep understanding of business processes and system functionality.
• Execute and coordinate comprehensive testing activities including functionality, regression, and user acceptance testing to validate new and updated applications.
• Adhere to departmental development methodologies and SAP ABAP standards, ensuring documentation is thorough and up-to-date.
• Participate proactively in upgrade and enhancement projects, contributing technical expertise and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of extensive SAP ABAP development experience, including hands-on work with forms, interfaces, data conversions, reports, and enhancement techniques.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience in interpreting functional requirements and converting them into detailed technical specifications, coupled with solid coding and documentation capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP development tools and techniques such as Reporting, Dialogue Programming, LSMW, BDC, BAPI, Data Dictionary, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, RFCs, and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt efficiently within dynamic project environments and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Experience optimizing existing ABAP code to enhance system performance and responsiveness.
• Practical knowledge of SAP modules MM, SD, and PP with experience developing ABAP objects related to these areas.

Preferred Skills & Additional Competencies

• Prior experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) developments and implementations to support data quality and governance initiatives is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with SAP Workflow, OData services, and ABAP Proxy programming to design integrated and automated processes.
• Functional understanding of SAP ECC modules including Warehouse Management System (WMS), Ariba procurement, and Financial Accounting & Controlling (FICO) modules considered a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of project management and collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira to facilitate efficient task tracking and documentation management.
• Formal training or certifications related to structured problem-solving methodologies to enhance decision-making and solution design capabilities.
