Job Description: 

SDET Test Engineer

Band: B2

Location: Chennai / Hyderabad

Experience- 6+ years

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams to integrate quality practices throughout the SDLC—from requirement analysis to production release.
  • Design, develop, and enhance automation frameworks and test infrastructure.
  • Drive in-sprint automation by developing automated test scripts for user stories.
  • Create and maintain ATDD/BDD test scenarios and execute test plans within sprints.
  • Build and maintain data-driven and modular automation scripts using Selenium.
  • Develop and update automated regression test suites.
  • Maintain object repositories, test data, and reusable libraries.
  • Perform defect tracking, root cause analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Mentor team members on automation frameworks, manual testing, and API testing.
  • Ensure proper documentation of test cases, execution results, and processes.
  • Contribute to defining and maintaining QA standards, policies, and metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Automation Testing with a strong focus on Selenium and API automation (Rest Assured).
  • Strong expertise in Core Java and solid understanding of OOPS concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in test scripting, validations, and verifications.
  • Experience working with automation frameworks and building reusable components across web, mobile, or desktop platforms.
  • DevOps exposure (4+ years): Jenkins, GitHub, XL Deploy, Cucumber, Gherkin.
  • Experience with TDD & BDD (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong experience in API Testing and automation.
  • Familiarity with J2EE ecosystem.
  • Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

1 Understanding the test requirements and test case design of the product Ensure error free testing solutions, minimum process exceptions, 100% SLA compliance, # of automation done using VB, macros
2 Execute test cases and reporting Testing efficiency & quality, On-Time Delivery, Troubleshoot queries within TAT, CSAT score
