Job Description: 

Selenium Java Technical Test Lead

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Automation Framework Design: Extend, maintain, and architect automation test frameworks using Java, Python, or JavaScript (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, TestNG).
  • API & Backend Testing: Design and execute automation for Web Services (REST APIs/SOAP) using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or Karate.
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated suites into DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to ensure continuous testing.
  • Test Strategy & Ownership: Own the quality for specific modules or agile teams by reviewing user stories, developing test strategies, and defining test automation approaches.
  • Offshore/Onshore Coordination: Act as a key point of contact for technical leadership in offshore locations, collaborating with teams in different time zones, and reporting on test coverage/results.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior QA engineers on automation best practices, code review, and debugging techniques.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Perform deep debugging of complex issues, analyze application logs (e.g., Splunk), and write complex SQL queries for data validation.
  • Experience: Generally 5+ to 8+ years of experience in SDET, Automation, or Software Development roles.
  • Languages: Strong programming skills in Java (preferred), Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Automation Tools: Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Database: Proficient in SQL (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle).
  • Platforms: Knowledge of AWS/Azure Cloud technology is strongly desired.
  • Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and BDD (Behavior Driven Development)
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical challenges across global teams.
  • High-agency, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
