Senior Engineering Transformation Leader
Position Details
Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid model-min 3 days a week WFO)
Client: Reputed and Leading Global Alternative Asset Management Firm
This role is aligned to one of Wipro's strategic GCC partnerships supporting the technology transformation of a global investment management organization.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to become one of the founding Engineering Transformation Leaders supporting the evolution of a strategic Bangalore GCC, a very reputed and leading global alternate asset management firm. The leader will own one or more business technology domains under the Finance & Operations Technology business unit and help establish AI-first engineering, end-to-end ownership and engineering excellence. The role combines engineering leadership, business partnership, people development and organizational transformation.

Key Responsibilities
- Own engineering strategy, delivery and transformation for an assigned business technology domain.
- Drive AI-first engineering practices using modern developer tooling and automation.
- Partner with business, product and global technology leadership to increase Bangalore ownership of strategic platforms.
- Build, mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams and future engineering leaders.
- Lead capability assessments, workforce planning and Gurgaon-to-Bangalore transition initiatives.
- Champion engineering excellence, architecture governance, quality and operational resilience.

Technical & Functional Expertise
- Strong background in AWS/GCP, Java, Python, C#, React, APIs, Microservices, SQL, Snowflake, DynamoDB and cloud-native engineering.
- Good to have – Exposure to Anaplan, Appian, Tableau, Coupa, Concur
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor or similar), DevSecOps, CI/CD and modern SDLC practices.
- Functional exposure to Finance, Treasury, Legal Entity Management, Procurement to Pay, Fund Accounting, General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Regulatory, Risk, Credit, Tax, Operations and Business Analysis.
Leadership Expectations
- 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, technology delivery and engineering leadership
- Lead engineering organizations of 30-50+ engineers.
- Develop engineering maturity, succession plans and leadership capability.
- Influence senior business and technology stakeholders across global locations.
- Create a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation and continuous learning.
