Role Summary
The firm is a global alternative asset manager with investments across private credit, structured products, direct lending, syndicated loans, opportunistic strategies, CLOs, hedge fund structures and other complex investment vehicles. Operating in a highly regulated environment, the firm maintains a robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crime Compliance framework to ensure compliance with global regulatory obligations and internal risk standards.
The AML Operations Senior Manager will play a critical leadership role in overseeing AML operations, transaction monitoring, client onboarding controls, sanctions screening, investigations and regulatory compliance processes across the investment platform. The role requires strong operational leadership, deep AML domain expertise and the ability to manage high-risk escalations, regulatory inquiries and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
The individual will partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Treasury, Operations, Technology and global business teams to ensure effective execution of AML controls while continuously enhancing operational efficiency, governance and risk management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
AML Operations Management
•    Lead and oversee day-to-day AML operations across onboarding, KYC refresh, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and client risk assessments.
•    Manage AML operational workflows to ensure timely completion of reviews, investigations and escalations in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
•    Drive operational governance and ensure adherence to global AML standards, including FATF, OFAC, FinCEN, SEC, FCA and other jurisdictional regulations as applicable.
•    Ensure appropriate documentation, audit trails and evidence management for all AML reviews and investigations.
Transaction Monitoring & Investigations
•    Oversee transaction monitoring activities across investor subscriptions, redemptions, capital movements, wire transfers and other financial transactions.
•    Review and investigate suspicious transaction alerts, unusual activity patterns and high-risk escalations.
•    Ensure proper dispositioning of alerts, escalation to Compliance where required and timely filing support for Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) or equivalent regulatory submissions.
•    Continuously enhance transaction monitoring rules, thresholds and surveillance controls to improve detection effectiveness and reduce false positives.
•    Oversee investor and counterparty onboarding processes, including KYC, CDD and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews.
•    Partner with Legal, Compliance and Investor Relations teams to resolve onboarding exceptions and documentation gaps.
Risk Management & Governance
•    Develop and maintain AML operational metrics, dashboards, KRIs and management reporting.
•    Identify control gaps, operational risks and process inefficiencies, and implement remediation plans.
•    Support internal audit, external audit and regulatory examinations by providing required documentation, evidence and operational walkthroughs.
•    Participate in AML policy enhancement initiatives and procedural updates.
