Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract.
  • This is a remote position supporting the management and optimisation of our Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) estate, operating across both on-premise and cloud-based elements of our Flexera One deployment.
  • The successful candidate will work within a complex enterprise IT environment in the financial services sector, and will be expected to contribute to discovery, inventory, licence management, automation, and integration workstreams from day one.

What you'll do

As a Software Asset Management Analyst, you’ll be providing input to and supporting the team’s activities to ensure the integrity of the platform (Flexera) is maintained while supporting change demands from domains or centres of excellence. You’ll be supporting the delivery of a robust service management. 

In addition, you’ll be contributing to the delivery of customer outcomes, innovation and early learning by contributing to test products and services to identify early on if they are viable and deliver the desired outcomes.

 Your role will involve:

  • Assist with discovery configuration, beacon management, and inventory coverage auditing
  • Day-to-day administration and support of ITAM beacon architecture
  • Optimisation of existing beacon architecture including migrations to strategic OS platforms
  • Troubleshoot inventory, discovery, and licence reconciliation issues
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to support SAM/ITAM processes
  • Support integration workstreams including ServiceNow CMDB data flows
  • Contribute to licence position accuracy and data quality improvement initiatives
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation for processes and configurations
  • Work collaboratively with UK-based team members 

The skills you'll need 

Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite

Hands-on experience administering FlexNet Manager Suite in an enterprise environment

  • Beacon configuration, management, and troubleshooting
  • Inventory and discovery strategy — agent-based and agentless methods
  • Subnet and beacon placement across complex network topologies
  • NDI file handling and processing (including Unix/Linux environments)

Infrastructure & Windows Administration

  • Windows Server administration — intermediate to advanced level
  • Active Directory — user, group, and OU management; integration with Flexera discovery
  • SQL Server — writing and optimising queries, managing staging tables, troubleshooting
  • Networking fundamentals — subnets, VLANs, firewall rules, proxy configuration
  • Understanding of enterprise security controls and least-privilege principles

Automation & Scripting

  • PowerShell — scripting, REST/SOAP API interaction, SQL data handling, scheduled tasks
  • Python — scripting, automation, API integration, data processing
  • Experience working with staging pipelines and bulk data operations
  • Ability to write clean, documented, maintainable scripts suitable for production use
