Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to design, develop and troubleshoot solutions/ designs/ models/ simulations on various softwares as per clients/project requirements.

4+ years professional experience in “ServiceNow Developer” application configuration & development.Working experience of ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM/HRSD products including Mid Service and VM configurations.  Understanding of Core ServiceNow Platform Fundamentals, Configuration vs. customizationWorking experience in Server-Side Development using Glide Scripting (GlideRecord - queries, insert/update/delete, GlideAggregate, GlideSystem)Script Includes - Using Script Includes from Flow Designer / UI ScriptsClient-Side Development Topics (UI16) - Client Scripts(i.e. onChange, onLoad, onSubmit, onCellEdit, GlideForm, GlideAjax for server calls)Understanding of UI16 standards: UI Pages, UI Macros, Creating UI Pages for custom screens, Jelly scripts & GlideForm UI utilities, Form & list layout configurationsUIB (UI Builder) or Now Experience Framework - Core Concepts, Declarative vs. programmatic components, Data resources (server scripts, client resources)Catalog Client Scripts & UI Policies for catalog-based development, and Building custom screens (UI16 vs UIB choice)Scripting in UIB, Client scripting (ES6), Server scripts, Cross-component communication (Events)CMDB & Data Modeling (Important for app design), Table structure, table inheritance, CMDB classes and relationshipsData model design (tables, relationships), and Creating custom modules, roles, access.Scripted REST APIs (building custom endpoints) and understanding of Inbound/outbound integration patterns.

Desired skills:Working experience with any Cloud Provider i.e. AWS, Azure, GCP.Experience with a scripting language such as JavaScript/Python in a Linux environment.Ability to create, execute and maintain scripts and tools for various testing frameworks.Experience with the agile methodology for software development teams.

3. Ensure reporting & documentation for the client

  • Ensure weekly, monthly status reports for the clients as per requirements
  • Maintain documents and create a repository of all design changes, recommendations etc
  • Maintain time-sheets for the clients
  • Providing written knowledge transfer/ history of the project
