Position Overview and Core Responsibilities:

Wipro Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Forex Dealer to join our CFO Office, a strategic function critical to enhancing our foreign exchange risk management and global treasury operations. The role demands a sophisticated understanding of forex markets, derivative instruments, and the ability to interpret complex macroeconomic and geopolitical factors influencing currency movements globally. This position plays a vital role in safeguarding and optimizing the company’s financial position within an increasingly dynamic international financial landscape.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute foreign exchange transactions, including buying, selling, and hedging across diverse currency pairs, actively optimizing forex exposure and mitigating financial risks to support business objectives.
• Perform in-depth macroeconomic and geopolitical analyses to forecast currency trends, enabling proactive adjustments to trading strategies and treasury decisions that maintain financial stability and maximize return.
• Develop comprehensive, data-driven market insights and prepare detailed reports and presentations for treasury teams, financial executives, and senior leadership, facilitating informed decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and internal controls, fostering accountability and operational excellence in all aspects of foreign exchange trading and risk management.
• Design and implement customized hedging programs aligned with corporate finance strategies to optimize borrowing costs in both Indian Rupees and foreign currencies.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with domestic and international banks, financial intermediaries, and counterparties to secure favorable funding terms and maintain liquidity.
• Lead preparation and presentation of macroeconomic research and market intelligence updates, contributing to strategic treasury planning and risk assessment processes.
• Expand and leverage networks within the financial markets to capture emerging trends and institutional developments beneficial to treasury operations and risk mitigation.
• Apply advanced accounting knowledge related to treasury functions to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with audit standards, and consistency across financial disclosures.
• Communicate complex financial concepts and risk management strategies clearly and effectively to diverse teams and stakeholders, enhancing transparency and collaboration.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the treasury team to elevate expertise and operational performance.
• Champion the adoption of advanced technological tools such as Bloomberg Terminal, Reuters, and cutting-edge fintech solutions to enhance analytical capabilities and streamline treasury workflows.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives aimed at improving process efficiencies, accuracy of financial reporting, and strengthening compliance and governance frameworks.
