Job Description

An SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) and VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) specialist connects P2P (Procure-to-Pay) automation with digital tax and e-invoicing compliance. This role manages the electronic flow of vendor invoices, supports data extraction, and automates statutory reporting across global tax networks such as Peppol.

Requires 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP DRC/eDocument Framework and VIM configurations, along with:

  • Strong knowledge of OpenText VIM, SAP S/4HANA architecture, and SAP BTP/Integration Suite.
  • Deep understanding of B2B/B2C e-invoicing mandates, real-time invoice clearance, and tax reporting requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in interpreting local tax mandates and converting them into technical and functional system mappings.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain OpenText VIM workflows, OCR systems, and automated exception handling for vendor invoices.
  • Design and configure the DRC eDocument Framework to generate, validate, and submit electronic invoices and statutory reports in line with regional government mandates.
  • Support integrations between SAP DRC on Cloud, SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), and external e-invoicing or tax networks, including Peppol and local authority portals.
  • Track, analyze, and resolve message errors, JSON/XML payload discrepancies, and workflow failures using SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF).
  • Align Accounts Payable (AP), Finance (FI), and Materials Management (MM) functions to maintain end-to-end process integrity.
  • Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), mock runs, and cutover activities during go-lives or cloud upgrades.

  • Independently work as an expert in the respective SAP technical workstream for an SAP implementation/conversion/development/enhancement /support project
  • High level design, detailed design and develop technical / integration solutions to meet those needs
  • Work with clients to understand their business needs and processes
  • Participate in technical and technology workshops to understand and deliver integration requirements
  • Drive client discussions to define the integration requirements and translate the requirements to the technical solution
  • Provide training and support to end-users
  • Write technical specifications and test plan for development team to ensure test driven development
  • Manage projects and timelines
  • Provide expert support to various projects and delivery engagements as and when required
  • Drive innovation/transformation agenda in large existing accounts, provide delivery
  • Provide delivery support and escalation management
  • Interaction with SAP and with party partners
