Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to support process delivery by ensuring daily performance of the Production Specialists, resolve technical escalations and develop technical capability within the Production Specialists.

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Databricks Data Engineer to join our dynamic BFSI technology team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimise data pipelines using Databricks, ensuring smooth data integration and analytics for critical business functions within the banking and financial sector. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other technology stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise ETL pipelines on Databricks platform using Spark and Python.
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and governance in compliance with BFSI regulatory standards.
  • Integrate disparate data sources including legacy banking systems, cloud platforms, and third-party APIs.
  • Support data migration, transformation, and reporting initiatives for financial products and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in data processing workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Proficient in Python and SQL for data engineering tasks.
  • Experience with data warehousing, big data technologies, and real-time data processing.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of financial risk modelling, fraud detection, or regulatory reporting.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and data pipeline automation tools.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
