Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations

Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and manage a ServiceNow testing team of 3–4 functional/automation testers.
- Define and own the ServiceNow test strategy with strong focus on ATF-based automation.
- Plan and track testing activities across sprint, regression, UAT, and upgrade cycles.
- Act as the single point of contact for all ServiceNow testing and ATF-related topics.
ATF Automation & Hands-on Delivery
- Design, develop, and maintain ATF test cases covering functional, regression, and integration scenarios.
- Build reusable ATF components, test steps, and test data strategies.
- Convert manual test cases into automated ATF scripts.
- Ensure adequate test coverage for customizations, workflows, integrations, Service Portal, and UI policies.
- Execute ATF test suites and analyze results, failures, and trends.
Quality Assurance & Governance
- Establish testing standards, naming conventions, and best practices for ATF.
- Ensure automation supports safe upgrades and patching by maintaining regression packs.
- Review test cases created by team members and provide technical guidance.
- Drive defect triage, root cause analysis, and closure in collaboration with developers.
- Prepare and publish test metrics, dashboards, and status reports.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with ServiceNow Developers, Architects, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and design effective test scenarios.
- Support UAT cycles and provide guidance on test execution and defect validation.
- Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and release readiness discussions.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on expertise with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Proven experience building and maintaining ATF test cases for custom and OOTB ServiceNow modules.
- Solid understanding of ServiceNow platform components such as:
- ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Request)
- Workflows / Flow Designer
- Service Portal and UI components
- Integrations and APIs (validation/testing perspective)
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow scripting concepts (JavaScript basics for test validation).
Experience
- 5–8+ years of overall testing experience with 3+ years in ServiceNow testing.
- Prior experience as Test Lead / Automation Lead managing a small testing team.
- Hands-on experience in Agile / Scrum delivery models.
- Experience supporting ServiceNow upgrades using ATF regression suites.
Certifications (Preferred)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow ATF-related or Implementation Specialist certifications (preferred)
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification (nice to have)

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experienc
