Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of projects within the Data Analytics and AI sector at Wipro Technologies. The individual in this role will own the operational governance and delivery oversight, ensuring the right talent is effectively allocated to optimize both customer satisfaction and costs associated with project execution. This position plays a vital part in maintaining high standards for project outcomes and facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teams.

The Technical Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders to align project delivery with strategic business objectives, applying strong project management principles and agile methodologies to navigate complex environments. This role requires an adaptive and detail-oriented mindset to manage multiple priorities while ensuring continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete project lifecycle from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, and closure, managing scope, schedule, and budget constraints effectively.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, tracking progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies promptly.
  • Lead cross-functional teams comprising technical, operational, and business experts ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant solutions focusing on data-driven initiatives and AML compliance requirements within the financial crimes domain.
  • Act as a key liaison between business units and technical partners to capture requirements, translate them into actionable plans, and deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Support the continuous validation and quality assurance processes for data integration and analytics projects, emphasizing accuracy, completeness, and regulatory adherence.
  • Drive effective governance mechanisms to monitor performance metrics, resource allocation, and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Champion best practices in project management and agile delivery standards within the team and organization.

Job Description

As a Technical Project Manager embedded within the Enterprise Financial Crime Compliance (EFCC) organization, you will drive key data initiatives supporting the AML Data Integration and Oversight (ADIO) function. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and deep experience in managing data-centric projects that enhance AML transaction monitoring systems.

Your responsibilities will include managing the product backlog, collaborating closely with data engineers and analysts, and leading validation and testing efforts to ensure uncompromising data integrity. You will facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clarity in requirements and successful delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and prioritize a dynamic product backlog focused on AML data integration projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business demands.
  • Create comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA, setting clear expectations for development teams.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), championing agile principles and practices.
  • Validate deliverables rigorously to confirm adherence to functional requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee deployment and production release activities ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions, product demonstrations, and feedback loops to continuously refine deliverables.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Substantial experience in financial crime domains including AML transaction monitoring, KYC, and fraud detection.
  • Strong proficiency in data mapping, ETL development, data quality assurance, and executing complex data analytics.
  • Hands-on expertise in writing detailed JIRA requirements and managing agile workflows.
  • Familiarity with testing and validation frameworks within an SDLC environment.
  • Technical skills in SQL, Python, and usage of ETL tools such as Informatica and Spark.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with technical and non-technical audiences effectively.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, ETL processes, and usage of tools like Informatica, Spark, and Actimize.
  • Skillful in Agile methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and delivery oversight.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with an ability to lead diverse teams and facilitate consensus.
