Role Purpose

To ensure success as a technical architect, you should have extensive knowledge of enterprise networking systems, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to project manage. A top-class technical architect can design and implement any size system to perfectly meet the needs of the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end solution design for the B2B API platform, developer portal, and integration layers.
  • Work across authentication, API gateway, UI, backend services, eventing, cloud infrastructure, observability, and DevSecOps components.
  • Define high-level and low-level design artefacts, integration patterns, and platform standards.
  • Ensure scalability, resilience, reliability, and performance using enterprise design principles.
  • Review technical specifications, API designs, security controls, and data flows.
  • Collaborate with product managers, platform engineering squads, security, UI/UX, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive technical decisions and provide engineering oversight during build and implementation.
  • Identify and mitigate architecture risks, dependencies, and technical debt.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–12 years of experience in technology architecture, solution design, or technical leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of API platforms (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, etc.) and developer portals (Next.js, headless CMS, RBAC, API onboarding journeys).
  • Experience designing cloud-native enterprise systems (GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, private VPC, networking basics).
  • Solid knowledge of identity, authentication, and access control (OAuth, OIDC, SSO, SAML, ForgeRock or equivalent).
  • Comfortable translating business requirements into technical architecture and engineering deliverables.
  • Proven experience building scalable, secure systems with high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and API observability frameworks.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and work across multiple domains and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience in banking, fintech, or regulated enterprise environments is a plus.
