About the Role Lead the daily operations on VMware for the Harman enterprise as L2 support engineer, monitoring observation and react with emendations based on SOP, work with other IT teams for troubleshooting. What You Will Do Installation and Configuration: Deploy, install, configure, and upgrade VMware software and virtualization platforms based on client requirements. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure, including virtual machines, ESXi hosts, vCenter servers, and networking components. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of VMware environments to ensure efficient resource utilization and high availability. Security: Implement security best practices to protect virtualized environments from threats and vulnerabilities. Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for virtualized systems, ensuring data integrity and business continuity. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for VMware infrastructure. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing their VMware-related concerns and inquiries. Capacity Planning: Assess and plan for future capacity requirements, recommending hardware and software upgrades as needed. Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to integrate VMware solutions into the overall IT infrastructure. Training: Train client staff on VMware best practices and usage to enhance their proficiency.

Experience with VMware networking, VMware storage and permission management. working experience with Vsphere ( esxi , vcenter ) , Vsan, Vrops, Vro Knowledge on Content Library. Working Experience on vmotion, Storage vmotion. Working experience on standard and distributed network port groups. Working experience on vRops. Monitoring the alerts from vCenter and vRops. Knowledge on vCenter architecture. Work experience in raising the case with HP/Dell/Cisco. Working experience in remote management of hardware. Knowledge on any OS/VMware products is add on. 1. Design and Develop solutions as per clientâÃÂÃÂs specifications
- Work on different softwares like CAD, CAE to develop appropriate models as per the project plan/ customer requirements
- Test the protype and designs produced on the softwares and check all the boundary conditions (impact analysis, stress analysis etc)
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility by integrating software components into a fully functional software system
- Create a prototype as per the engineering drawings & outline CAD model is prepared
- Perform failure effect mode analysis (FMEA) for any new requirements received from the client
- Provide optimized solutions to the client by running simulations in virtual environment
- Ensure software is updated with latest features to make it cost effective for the client
- Enhance applications/ solutions by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems
- Follow industry standard operating procedures for various processes and systems as per the client requirement while modeling a solution on the software

2. Provide customer support and problem solving from time to time
- Perform defect fixing raised by the client or software integration team while solving the tickets raised
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures for the customer
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems on time & with minimum latency and maximum efficiency
- Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback for adequate resolution with customer satisfaction
- Comply with project plans and industry standards

3. Ensure reporting & documentation for the client
- Ensure weekly, monthly status reports for the clients as per requirements
- Maintain documents and create a repository of all design changes, recommendations etc
- Maintain time-sheets for the clients
- Providing written knowledge transfer/ history of the project
