Role Overview

Wipro Engineering is seeking an accomplished technology and business leader to head the Technology Practices of Connected Services. This is a P&L-owning, growth-oriented leadership role responsible for building and scaling next-generation solutions and practices across AI, Agentic AI, Data, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Customer Experience, and Enterprise Automation. The incumbent will drive revenues, deepen customer impact, incubate market-leading innovations, and lead high-performance global teams serving marquee Wipro Engineering clients.

The role is a unique blend of strategy, solutioning, sales enablement, delivery excellence, IP creation, and people leadership — ideal for a leader who can operate at the intersection of technology depth and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solutions & Go-to-Market

• Define and own the solutions strategy and roadmap for Connected Services across AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, Cloud, Data, Automation, CX, and Cybersecurity.
• Architect repeatable, IP-led, industry-specific solution accelerators (platforms, frameworks, and reference architectures) to shorten sales cycles and improve win rates.
• Partner with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Client Partners to shape large deals, RFP responses, and strategic pursuits, including executive-level solution storytelling.
• Drive anchor client wins and lighthouse case studies that showcase differentiated value across Wipro Engineering's client portfolio.

2. Practices Build & Capability Development

• Establish and scale new practices and centers of excellence aligned with emerging technology trends (e.g., Agentic AI, LLMOps, TokenOps, Sovereign AI, Edge Intelligence).
• Build the talent pyramid — recruit, develop, and retain top-tier architects, researchers, engineers, and consultants; create clear career pathways.
• Institutionalize delivery playbooks, quality frameworks, certification programs, and reusable assets to enable consistent execution at scale.
• Forge partnerships with hyperscalers, ISVs, startups, and academia to accelerate capability build-out and market credibility.

3. Revenue Growth & P&L Ownership

• Own the P&L for Technology Practices of Connected Services — revenue, margin, utilization, realization, and cost discipline.
• Deliver year-on-year double-digit growth through new logo wins, existing account expansion, and solution-led up-sell/cross-sell.
• Build a healthy multi-year pipeline, forecast accuracy, and predictable revenue engine.
• Drive pricing innovation — outcome-based, consumption-based, and IP-linked commercial models — moving beyond traditional T&M constructs.

4. Customer Impact & Advocacy

• Serve as a trusted advisor and executive sponsor for strategic enterprise clients across Industrial, Manufacturing, Communications, Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality, and Semiconductor verticals.
• Drive measurable customer outcomes — business KPIs, ROI, time-to-value, and adoption metrics — not just delivery milestones.
• Own customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS), executive relationships, and reference-ability; convert clients into advocates.
• Anchor CXO briefings, innovation workshops, and co-creation programs at customer sites and Wipro innovation hubs.

• Lead a cross-functional innovation agenda — incubate emerging technology bets (Agentic AI, GenAI, Quantum-ready solutions, Responsible AI, Sustainable Tech).
• Build a strong IP portfolio — patents, platforms, accelerators, and open-source contributions — that strengthens differentiation and margin profile.
• Drive thought leadership through publications, conference keynotes, analyst engagements (Gartner, Forrester, HFS, ISG, Everest), and industry consortia.
• Establish and run industry-academia joint research and startup partnerships to bring frontier innovations into commercial Wipro Engineering offerings.

6. Leadership & Culture

• Lead a global, multi-geography team of 500+ engineers, architects, researchers, and consultants; build a culture of ownership, experimentation, and excellence.
• Mentor and develop next-generation technology leaders; drive succession planning and diversity in leadership.
• Champion agility, learning velocity, and responsible AI practices across the organization.
• Represent Connected Services in executive forums, board reviews, and strategic planning cycles; influence enterprise-wide Wipro Engineering strategy.

Experience

• 20+ years of technology industry experience with at least 8–10 years in senior leadership (VP/SVP/GM) roles at a global technology services firm, product company, or hyperscaler.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership at scale (USD 100M+ preferred) with a track record of profitable growth.
• Proven success in building practices from ground up and scaling them into industry-recognized businesses.
• Deep experience across AI/GenAI/Agentic AI, Cloud, Data platforms, Automation, and CX — with the ability to speak the language of both engineers and CXOs.
• Strong exposure to enterprise sales, large deal pursuits, and multi-year strategic engagements.
