Role Purpose
The Developer - L3 position at Wipro Technologies is a pivotal role within our Technology Services division, specifically embedded in the AECS-Integration practice. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting sophisticated software solutions with a strong focus on IBM WebSphere MQ and WebSphere Application Server environments. The successful candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of messaging infrastructure to meet complex client needs across multiple industries.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of middleware components, including installation, configuration, upgrading, patching, and performance tuning of WebSphere Application Servers and WebSphere MQ on Windows and Linux platforms. Your expertise will extend to configuring JMS resources such as queues, queue connection factories, and topics, as well as managing secure communications through SSL certificates and LDAP user registries.
The role specifically demands hands-on experience in troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing effective long-term solutions to enhance system stability and reliability. You will collaborate cross-functionally with project teams, QA, and client stakeholders to align middleware solutions with business objectives, ensuring seamless deployment and operations.
Key responsibilities also include:
- Building WebSphere Application Server environments from the ground up, including application deployments and integration with various database systems like Oracle and SQL Server through data source configurations.
- Managing MQ clustering, workload management, and efficient recovery operations such as cold restarts and queue manager rebuilds during failures.
- Implementing and maintaining MQ security configurations, including SSL channel security and advanced message queue monitoring (BMM, MVMM, MAMA).
- Applying fix packs and upgrade patches to keep middleware components up-to-date with the latest supported versions, ensuring system compliance and performance enhancements.
- Documenting technical procedures, operational runbooks, and root cause analyses to enhance knowledge sharing and support processes.
- Engaging in continuous learning and adopting the latest middleware technologies and best practices to drive innovation and excellence in service delivery.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for quality and efficiency. Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential to work in a diverse team environment and manage client expectations successfully.
