Role Summary
The Systemware L3 resource is a senior‑level support professional responsible for providing deep technical expertise and end‑to‑end ownership of Systemware mainframe workloads. This role acts as the highest escalation point (Level 3) for complex incidents, problem management, root cause analysis, and proactive system stability. The individual will work closely with application teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure platform availability, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Level 3 escalation for all Systemware‑related incidents, problems, and service requests.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex Systemware issues across Cloud manager, content integrator, content server and content store
- Lead or support Systemware version upgrades. Validate backward compatibility, configuration integrity etc.
- Own incident resolution end‑to‑end, including coordination with L1/L2 teams and third‑party vendors.
- Support installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of Systemware products.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and stability; recommend and implement improvements.
- Lead problem management, including permanent fixes and preventive actions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
- Participate in change management, release activities, and post‑implementation reviews.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to L1/L2 support teams.
Mandatory Skills:
Linux & OS Fundamentals
- Strong hands‑on experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) in production
- Confident with:
- systemctl (start / stop / restart services)
- Log navigation and analysis (/opt/systemware/...)
- File permissions, mounts, disk usage
- Able to follow strict startup/shutdown sequences without deviation
- Prior L2 production support for enterprise applications
- Understanding of ECM / DMS concepts (Enterprise Content / Document Systems)
- Systemware Skills:
- Content Integrator (CI) Support
- Storage and Mount Awareness – understanding of local vs network storage, NFIS/CIFS mounts
- Understanding of application ↔ database dependency
Experience: 5-8 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
