Role Overview
Wintel Support Lead is responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the enterprise Windows server environment. This role ensures reliable operations across infrastructure by managing server administration, patching, automation, and incident response, while collaborating closely with security and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities
Server Administration & Build
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments
Build and deploy new servers based on enterprise standards
Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance
Patching & Security
Manage monthly patching cycle for ~1,000 servers using MECM and/or Ansible
Collaborate with Information Security teams on vulnerability remediation
Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and standards
Support antivirus administration and endpoint protection
Incident & Change Management
Provide L2/L3 support for incident resolution and root cause analysis
Participate in change management processes including planning, implementation, and validation
Ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities
Monitoring & Performance Management
Monitor system health, performance, and storage utilization
Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
Maintain system uptime and operational continuity
Active Directory & Access Management
Manage Active Directory (AD) including user accounts, groups, and policies
Support access control, permissions, and identity-related issues
Virtualization & Data Center Operations
Support virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware/Hyper-V)
Manage data center operations including server lifecycle and capacity planning
Handle remote office server support
Automation & Tools
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell
Leverage MECM for software deployment, patching, and compliance
Continuously improve operational efficiency through automation
Upgrades & Global Support
Support OS upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure refresh initiatives
Provide support for global operations across different time zones
Assist with new technology rollouts and system enhancements
Additional Responsibilities
Manage enterprise print services
Provide support for remote office/server infrastructure
Maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience with Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)
Hands-on expertise with MECM (SCCM) and/or Ansible
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
Good understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
Knowledge of patch management and vulnerability remediation
Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Mandatory Skills: Cloud Azure Admin .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
