Must have primary skills and experience for this role (Senior Manufacturing Engineer)    

  • Industry Background: Experience in high-volume manufacturing within a Tier 1 automotive environment. Tier 1 automotive suppliers operate with tight margins and aggressive schedules, which demands manufacturing and industrial excellence.

Core Competencies:

  • Manufacturing Process Development: Ability to define, design, and deliver manufacturing processes for complex assembly products — from conceptual phase through full production scale-up.
  • Process Engineering Fundamentals: Strong command of PFD (Process Flow Diagrams), time studies, line balancing, and P-FMEA.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Capable of analyzing product designs and providing actionable DFM recommendations.
  • GD&T: Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and its application in manufacturing.
  • Equipment & Vendor Management: Capable of writing technical specifications and managing vendors through full equipment commissioning.
  • Industrial KPIs: Strong understanding of operational metrics — OEE, MTTR, MTBF, cycle time, throughput, yield, etc.
  • Digital Manufacturing: Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and digital manufacturing principles.

Scope of Ownership:

  • End-to-end manufacturing development lifecycle: concept → process design → validation → ramp → full production
Mandatory Skills: Mechanical Product development .

 

Experience: 3-5 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $121,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
