Job Description

About the Role: We are looking for a talented and passionate Backend Engineer to join our uFlow team within the Service Solution & AI and Services tribe. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core application modules for uFlow, a critical component of our service offerings. This is a hands-on position where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and directly impact the success of our products. 

Responsibilities: 

Design & Development: Design and develop core application modules using Java, Spring Boot, Camunda/Fluxnova, and Oracle DB. 

Requirements Gathering: Participate in client and stakeholder meetings to understand business needs and translate them into robust technical requirements. 

Task Estimation: Decompose complex tasks into manageable units and provide accurate effort estimations. 

Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve bugs, write comprehensive unit tests, and perform code reviews to ensure high-quality delivery. 

DevOps Support: Help maintain the technical infrastructure, including continuous integration and automated deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. 

Mentorship: Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning. 

Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in backend development. 

Qualifications: 

Required: 

Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience in Java. 

Core Concepts: Strong understanding of Java Core concepts, multithreading, and software design patterns. 

Frameworks & APIs: Solid experience working with Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs. 

Build Tools: Proficiency with build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle. 

Collaboration Tools: Experience using JIRA, Git (Stash/Bitbucket), and Confluence for project management and collaboration. 

Databases: Practical experience with relational databases, specifically Oracle DB, and basic-to-intermediate SQL knowledge. 

Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, a proactive problem-solving attitude, and a strong desire to learn. 

Nice to have: 

BPM Tools: Hands-on experience with BPM engines (Camunda or Fluxnova preferred). 

Cloud Platforms: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 

Advanced DB: Strong SQL optimization skills and experience with advanced database concepts. 

Containers: Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Helm for container orchestration. 

Leadership: Demonstrated technical leadership skills or experience mentoring junior engineers. 

 

Mandatory Skills: JAX-RS - Java API- RESTful Web Services .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .
