HR business Partner Hungary | Contract (convertible to permanent)
About the role
We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support the setup of a new business presence in Hungary (greenfield environment).
This role combines strategic HR partnering with hands‑on execution, ensuring compliant and efficient HR operations while building frameworks, processes, and teams from the ground up.
Initially offered as a contract engagement (hourly/daily rate), with potential to transition into a permanent role based on business needs.

What you will do
Strategic HR Partnering
- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategy with organisational goals
- Advise on workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations
- Provide guidance on local labour practices and market realities in Hungary
HR Operations & Set‑Up (Greenfield)
- Build and implement HR frameworks, processes, and systems from scratch
- Set up HR documentation (e.g. policies, employee handbooks, knowledge base articles)
- Establish and manage vendor partnerships (e.g. payroll, benefits)
- Ensure smooth delivery of end‑to‑end HR operations across the employee lifecycle
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Hungarian labour law and internal policies
- Develop compliant HR documentation and governance frameworks
- Support audits and manage employment‑related risks

What we are looking for
- Solid experience in HRBP / HR Generalist roles, ideally in dynamic or international environments
- Strong understanding of HR operations, employee relations, and performance management
- Hands‑on, solution‑oriented mindset, with experience in building HR processes in greenfield or transformation environments
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Good knowledge of labour law and compliance practices in Hungary or EU
- Fluent English and Hungarian
