Job Description
We are seeking an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimize the core hosting environment for our Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platforms. You will focus entirely on provisioning, securing, and maintaining core infrastructure components. Your priority will be establishing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies to ensure zero-downtime operations for critical trading applications, workflows, and database instances.
Key Responsibilities
1. Core Infrastructure & Network Security
• Virtual Networks: Architect and maintain foundational network topologies using Azure VNETs and subnets to segregate trading tiers safely.
• Traffic Control: Enforce perimeter and internal network security by configuring and managing Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Application Security Groups (ASGs).
• Secrets Management: Securely isolate and manage database strings, API tokens, and environment credentials within Azure Key Vault.
2. Application & Compute Provisioning
• Virtual Machines: Deploy, patch, and scale Azure VMs to host core ETRM system engines, middleware, and vendor software packages.
• Serverless & Web Hosting: Deploy and maintain web portals and integration microservices using Azure App Services and event-driven Azure Functions.
3. Data & Integration Infrastructure
• Relational Databases: Provision, scale, and performance-tune Azure SQL databases to handle heavy transactional trade-capture and risk metrics.
• File & Object Storage: Manage Azure Storage Accounts (Blob, Files) for archiving historical market ticks, trade logs, and end-of-day reports.
• Data Integration: Maintain infrastructure supporting automated data integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and serverless workflows with Azure Logic Apps.
4. High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR)
• Uptime Engineering: Configure high-availability configurations for Azure SQL (Failover Groups) and Azure VMs (Availability Zones) to prevent single points of failure.
• Disaster Recovery: Formulate, document, and test multi-region infrastructure replication paths using Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and backup routines to ensure rapid recovery of the trading floor during outages.
Required Qualifications
• Experience: 4+ years of dedicated cloud infrastructure experience managing enterprise-grade workloads in Microsoft Azure.
• Domain Exposure: Background supporting infrastructure environments for commodity trading or ETRM platforms (e.g., Allegro, Endur, RightAngle).
• Azure Service Mastery: Deep, direct technical knowledge of provisioning and configuring VM, VNET, subnet, ASG, NSG, Azure App Services, Azure Function, Azure SQL, Logic App, Storage account, Key Vault, and ADF.
• HA/DR Architecture: Proven hands-on experience setting up geo-redundant storage, database failover clusters, and cross-region infrastructure backup plans.
Experience: 5-8 Years .
