Role - Regulatory Compliance and Govt Affairs

Location: Cebu, Philippines

Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for responsible for ensuring the Cebu sites compliance with all relevant local and national regulatory requirements, particularly those related to PEZA and LGU operations. The role involves coordinating with government agencies, managing permit renewals, monitoring compliance deadlines, and supporting internal audits to maintain full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and facilitate all Cebu sites business permits, licenses, and certificates from LGUs, PEZA, and other relevant agencies.
  • Coordinate with government offices such as PEZA, BOI, BIR, DOLE, SEC, DENR, DTI and other relevant agencies for submissions, renewals, and compliance-related concerns.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in government regulations, circulars, or policies that may impact site operations.
  • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, reports, and trackers to ensure all regulatory requirements are up to date.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring prompt resolution of any compliance findings.
  • Represent the company during inspections or official visits by government agencies and assist in ensuring full compliance during such activities.
  • Coordinate with leadership and departments to ensure compliance procedures and documentation are properly implemented and updated.
  • Maintain effective relationships with local government units and PEZA officials to facilitate smooth processing of regulatory matters.

  • 100% on-time renewal of all permits and licenses for the Cebu sites.
  • Zero major findings in compliance audits or government inspections.
  • Accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation and trackers.
  • Timely response to regulatory requests and correspondence.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Legal Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 2–5 years of experience in compliance, government liaison, paralegal, or related administrative functions.

- Working knowledge of PEZA regulations, LGU processes, and other Philippine regulatory requirements.

- Strong coordination, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with government officials.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and compliance tracking systems.

- Must be based in Cebu and willing to coordinate on-site with government offices and the company’s Cebu operations.
