Job Title: Agile Scrum Master

Location- Jersey City, NJ

 

This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum team and is focused on serving the needs of the team to drive performance and growth. Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies for the team, providing visibility into team delivery plans and progress, enabling continuous improvement within the team. This role ensures the impediments are resolved quickly, the team follows their agreed to processes, and that there is a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team. They promote and coach the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing and fulfill their cross functional potential.

Key Responsibilities:


Utilizing their knowledge to bring solutions to the various teams involved during the project. Effectively communicating all aspects of the project through governance and stakeholder engagement. Ability to identify risk and collaborate to mitigate dependencies.

 

• Previous Banking experience required.
• 5+ years on the ability to guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices and develop their understanding of Agile/Waterfall principles.
• 5+ years on stakeholder management. Sets agenda and defines the artifacts needed for governance forums; Collects feedback from customers and stakeholders to measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management.
• 5+ years facilitating Scrum ceremonies (for example, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives).
• Understands the roles and responsibilities of other teams who participate in the lifecycle and engages as required. 
• Identifies risk/dependencies and quantifies the impact it has on the business/technology and what controls are to be used to resolve.
• Solution Delivery Process Understands the roles and responsibilities of other teams who participate in the lifecycle and engages as required. Risk Management Identifies risk/dependencies and quantifies the impact it has on the business/technology and what controls are to be used to resolve
• In a Scaled Agile model, facilitate scaled planning for the team (for example, Pre-Planning/ Preparation and PI Planning Events) and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs.
• Help the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforce the agreements
• Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO).
• Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team.

Mandatory Skills: Agile Scrum Methodology .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
