Asset Engineer – Hardware Asset Management
Job Description
Do
⢠Building and sustaining effective communications with all stakeholders towards the goal of maximizing the customer experience.
⢠Develop and implement continuous process improvements and operational efficiencies within End User space End to End Asset Management Life Cycle Experience in Hardware assets including Managing leased assets Create
⢠Update to asset records in the Asset Database accordingly throughout all stages of asset lifecycle Participate in Asset Management audits and remediation efforts.
⢠Identify Cost savings and establish more effective long-term planning & budgeting practices for the customers Analyze client contracts.
⢠Purchase agreements and other data to manage hardware assets effectively Experience in all processes including but not limited to New Assets, IMACS, Retirements,
⢠Disposals- Interact directly with clients and other internal and external sources to obtain relevant data and documents in required forms and consistent with project objectives and deadlines. Utilize
⢠Data analysis tools and techniques like MS Access, MS Excel. Assess data accuracy and reasonableness and follow-up directly with clients, internal support staff, or partner appropriately to achieve necessary understanding and to resolve the anomalies.
⢠Ensure quality and timely delivery of customer requirements.
⢠Generate monthly asset reports regarding this Service, as well as ad-hoc reports as requested internally or by customer. Identify and document best practices and implement them Other Hardware Asset Management duties as assigned.
⢠Drive Compliance across Organization, Correction of policies / SLA/ OLA / UC
⢠Procurement / Vendor Negotiation experience and People management experience is a plus

Asset Operations
- Execute end‑to‑end asset activities: receipt, tagging, storage, issuance, movement, recovery, and disposal support.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates in asset management systems (ServiceNow / FAR or equivalent).
- Support asset deployment, refresh, and release activities as per approved requests (RITMs).
Inventory & Store Support
- Maintain asset stores, bin management, and physical controls.
- Participate in Physical Verification (PV) and support variance closure with proper documentation.
- Ensure alignment between physical assets and system records.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Follow HAM SOPs, security guidelines, and internal controls.
- Support audit activities by providing evidence, reports, and system records.
- Report any non‑compliance, discrepancies, or asset risks to the Location Lead.
Ticketing & SLA Management
- Handle asset‑related tickets within defined SLAs.
- Coordinate with users, vendors, and internal teams for issue resolution.
- Ensure proper closure of incidents, requests, and change activities.
Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with Location Lead, Central HAM teams, vendors, and security teams.
- Maintain clear communication and timely updates on operational activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, Desktop Support, or IT Operations.
- Hands‑on experience with asset tools (ServiceNow HAM preferred).
Key Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of IT hardware asset lifecycle.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
- Working knowledge of inventory controls and audit requirements.
- Ability to work under SLAs in a process‑driven environment.
- Basic vendor and stakeholder coordination skills.
