AWS Azure Cloud Architect - Infrastructure and Platform Architect L2

About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned AWS Azure Cloud Architect with over 8 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team at Wipro Technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead cloud architecture initiatives designed to drive innovation and operational excellence within our cutting-edge cloud services practice.

As a Cloud Architect, you will design, implement, and manage highly available, secure, and scalable cloud solutions leveraging both AWS and Azure platforms. You will play a pivotal role in defining architectural standards, building reliable infrastructure, and spearheading cloud migration and transformation projects that align with business goals and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Architecting and delivering resilient cloud infrastructures that meet high availability, security, and performance standards.
• Defining and enforcing cloud governance, best practices, and architectural standards across projects and teams.
• Managing and optimizing cloud platforms including IaaS and PaaS services to maximize cost efficiency, scalability, and security.
• Leading cloud migration strategies, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and modernizing legacy workloads.
• Driving continuous improvements in security posture, reliability, and operational procedures through rigorous monitoring and incident response readiness.
• Designing secure cloud networking solutions featuring VPC/VNet topologies, VPNs, private connectivity, and network segmentation to safeguard assets while enabling seamless communication.
• Overseeing patch management and lifecycle governance for cloud-based infrastructure with strict adherence to security baselines.
• Authoring and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and AWS CloudFormation for automated provisioning and configuration management.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, integrated monitoring, alerting systems, and cloud governance frameworks.
• Creating cloud sandbox environments that facilitate innovation and experimentation under controlled security and cost parameters.
• Producing comprehensive architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical guides to support engineering and operational teams.

This is a high-impact role requiring a collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Experience Required: Minimum 8 years in cloud architecture or related roles with proven expertise in AWS and Azure cloud services.

Required Skills and Technologies

To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate deep knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• AWS Cloud Administration including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, and networking components
• Microsoft Azure platform capabilities such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Active Directory, ARM templates, and networking services
• Advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development using Terraform, Azure ARM/Bicep templates, and AWS CloudFormation to automate deployment and configuration
• Cloud security best practices encompassing identity and access management, data encryption, network security controls, and compliance frameworks
• Designing and managing scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud networks, including configuring VPCs, VNets, VPNs, private endpoints, and network segmentation
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices to enable automated cloud infrastructure deployment and application delivery
• Monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure optimal operational health and rapid incident response
• Cost optimization and resource management methodologies within cloud environments
• Strong scripting or programming skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation tasks and integrations

Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) is an advantage.
