Job Description – Azure Architect (Automation)

 Role Cluster: Senior Cloud Architect / Azure Architect (Automation)

Experience: 12–16+ years (with strong Azure & Automation leadership)

Mandatory Technical Skills

· Azure Architecture (Enterprise scale)

· Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, ARM, Bicep

· Configuration Automation: Ansible

· Automation & Scripting: Python, PowerShell

· Azure Landing Zones & CAF

· DevOps / Platform Engineering: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions

· Network & Security Automation

· Observability & Reliability Engineering

· FinOps / Cloud Cost Governance

  • Architect Azure landing zones and core cloud platforms
  • Define IaC strategy using Terraform/Bicep
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient Azure environments
  • Lead DevOps and automation-led cloud operations
  • Architect network and security automation controls
  • Implement observability and monitoring frameworks
  • Develop automation runbooks and self-service models
  • Enforce governance, compliance, and policy standards
  • Drive cost optimization using Azure FinOps practices
  • Support workload onboarding and migrations
  • Serve as escalation point for complex issues
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams
  • Define cloud operating models and best practices
  • Mentor teams on Azure cloud architecture
  • Act as Azure cloud SME
